I believe that this is an image of beauty because it makes me stop and stare as the light catches my eye and floods them with one striking color. It's so simple, but at the same time it draws you in to the point where you're drowning in a euphoric feeling of happiness. In today's industrialized world it seems virtually impossible to find natural and organic beauty. Some try to replicate it. However, what makes this so beautiful is the fact that it can only be sculpted by the hands of mother nature.
This photo of a maasai women from East Africa is beautiful to me because it shows thriving culture and uniqueness of people from different parts of the earth. I am drawn in by the colors of her jewelry and body paint. It is a wonderful example of the variety of different cultures and people that inhabit the earth while at the same time are not so different from you or I.
Lastly, I also find some truly outstanding man-made structures very beautiful. This image for example is of the San Diego skyline. I find this to be exciting and interesting because of the bright lights and variety of colors the city shines brightly.
