Seminar Conclusion

Our class held a seminar to discuss the two articles each of us read all about the perceptions of beauty we all have. The consensus of the group agreed that these perceptions and expectations of not only women but men as well have been around since ancient times. Also, especially now in our industrialized world it has become extremely obvious that the cause of them come mostly from the western world and its media. We also discussed possible resolutions to turning this trend around such as exporting intervention or starting a new campaign for inner beauty which we hope to soon be starting similar to Dove's campaign for real beauty. I believe that if people around the world just accepted themselves and who each of us truly are inside and out then we all could work much more easily with each other and be able to better solve important issues.
